Two of Lebanon's best bellydancersPosted by Suze in Lebanese, Bellydance video |
A couple of clips courtesy of YouTube. The first is one I haven't seen before, the second is an old favourite and always worth watching.
Below: Amani performing a tambourine dance. I'll take a wild guess and say this was filmed at the Ahlan Wa Sahlan festival in Egypt (Raqia Hassan sitting in the audience is a bit of a clue). I think this is absolutely beautiful. Amani is such a graceful dancer.
Below: Maya Abi Saad in probably one of YouTube's most highly praised performances. The dance goes on for more than 12 minutes, and this clip shows the first 9 1/2 minutes of it. There is another version showing the whole thing in two parts, but the quality isn't as good. Her energy is amazing and shows just how lively Lebanese bellydancing can be!
